Financial statements

In 2016, consolidated turnover grew by a total of 8.7 percent to MEUR 314.4 (MEUR 289.3 in 2015). Consolidated profit increased to MEUR 16.3 (MEUR 14.3 in 2015). Total profit for 2016 was 5.2 percent of turnover (4.9 percent in 2015).

As a Finnish family company, Berner aims at balanced long-term operation and steady growth. The Group’s solvency and liquidity remained at an excellent level in 2016. The equity ratio was 73.5 percent (76.9 in 2015) and the current ratio 3.5 (3.9 in 2015). Return on invested capital was 13.0 percent (12.1 percent in 2015).

In 2016, the Group had an average of 546 employees (524 in 2015), of whom 50 worked in Sweden (49 in 2015) and 115 in the Baltic countries (99 in 2015).
